Expressing Human Values & Spirituality at Work
The global marketplace traditionally puts profits and productivity ahead of the human condition in the workplace. But that model is shifting according to many business leaders like J.Robert Ouimet, (see here to the left) Chairman of O.C.B. Holding in Montreal, Canada.Ouimet was one of the presenters at the 2007 International Spirit at Work Conference.
He was among corporate brass, non-profit leaders and entrepreneurs who shared their views on new benchmarks in measuring success, and the transformative practices which are, some say, creating more enlightened organizations.
In this WorkLife Monitor podcast (click below) you’ll hear from Ouimet and some of the pioneers in this movement, fostering human values and spirituality in the workplace.

Judy,
Thanks for writing about this. I encounter many individuals, both in my professional endeavors and in my personal life, who are searching for a forum to learn and share ideas like these. Thank you for giving us permission and resources to do so.

I think we hear about this topic often but in different language. Some immediately associate spirituality with religion, which depending on your view, might be of interest or a turnoff. The trend is toward speaking of human core values in a language which is not threatening to either camp. Some are doing that well.
