Taken with the monstrous sale signs in a local shoe store window this week, I slipped into a parking spot fully aware that I had a conference call in fifteen minutes. With my BlackBerry in hand, I figured I could check out the agenda that was sent to me and call into the meeting. All while trying on a fabulous pair of black heels that I’ve had my eye on. I was partially correct.
While I knew it was a brief overview call and did not require my input, it required me to toggle between a document or two which was unknowingly sent out in the eleventh hour. This was a problem. My BlackBerry skills are not that sophisticated. So I was thrilled with news of a website that might give me a road map in plain English to the cellphoneeez that I so desperately needed to learn for future shopping trips. Cellphonist.com.
This site offers videos of how to navigate, text message, take and send pictures etc. I was excited to dig into the pool of wisdom. The presentations are easy to understand and the visuals are great. But in taking a look through the cellphones a bit of a caveat. I have a Blackberry. No BlackBerry video.
DiscoverBlackBerry.com has easy to understand tips. You can sign up for the newsletter and also download a 288 page guide. But no videos. I suppose in our sensory overloaded environment we’re all a bit spoiled. But it’s a heck of a lot easier to watch a video than to read through a bunch of techno-stuff. So if there is a BlackBerry video source out there to navigate the BlackBerry – and I’m looking for it free of charge – just like Cellphonist offers – please let me know!
Don’t get me wrong. I love my BlackBerry. It has helped me greatly with worklife balance in my career – when not abused.
