Here's also a good post from BusinessWeek which uses information from a report from the Family and Work Institute. There is a whole new generation of people (the millenials) coming into the workforce. Changes are bound to take place. While ambition and achievement and enjoying one's work is very important, I think it is also very important for people to keep in perspective WHY they work. It's not such a bad thing to "work to live" rather than "live to work." Though I agree that most people hope that they can spend those hours on the job doing more than just collecting a paycheck.

Judy, I have great hope that women will continue to lead the way to a progressive, flexible work culture. My hope is that our voices will bring about positive change not just for women but for everyone. It is my dream that employers evolve to embrace their employees as whole human beings and that work/life balance moves beyond a nice sounding buzzword to a way of life. Thank you for raising your voice and leading the way.
