The end of the world passed us by, so we still have to deal with stress at work. So, here is this week’s Workplace Stress Update to help you cruise through the chaos in work and in business. And while the 12.21.12 did not pay on it’s promise it was still a difficult week.
This week the world was deeply saddened by the Newtown Massacre which took the lives of 20 children and 7 adults. This incident moved our hearts and souls. And as you will hear in this weeks episode, we don’t leave those kinds of emotions at the door of the workplace. Such external events impact us all, any time of the year, let alone the holidays. High emotions touch us on so many levels, including of course, our brain. That leads me to the next story. Our brain on stress.
One of my favorite posts this week is my recent Forbes.com article and VLOG featuring Deepak Chopra on his new book, “Super Brain.” Lots of wisdom and the dialogue still has me thinking about how we can change our experience at work to allow more calm and happiness to emerge.
Following the video, as always, the links to all the stories in this week’s episode are listed for you. Have a safe holiday season and a spectacular new year! Remember that you are in the drivers seat to cruise through the chaos and stress at work and in business.
